with Te Martin
Friday, May 23, 2025
4-6pm Ireland
11am-1pm Eastern
8-10am Pacific
Program Description
Join us for a springtime community singing mini-retreat. We’ll ask ourselves and each other, “What are the places, people, or activities in my life that give me strength?“ Te Martin will teach short songs line-by-line on this theme and together we’ll draw from those reservoirs; there will be opportunities to learn songs as well as to share our hearts and voices with one another.
What to expect:
- Grounding and embodiment practices
- Somatic regulation through song
- Connection with people from around the world
- Learning and practicing new songs on the theme of strength and resilience
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a practiced singer to join?
Nope! Singers of all levels are welcome — experienced, new, or anywhere in-between.
How does singing together on Zoom work?
Because there is a delay on Zoom, we won’t actually be able to hear each other singing together. Rather, Te will teach songs and others will stay muted while they sing. While it might seem a little unusual at first, many people have found that even over Zoom, the nourishment of song and community carries through powerfully!
Will anyone else hear me sing?
Not if you don’t want to! Most of the singing will happen with the group on mute (except for Te’s voice). There may be a time or two when Te invites people who would like to to come off mute and sing but this is totally optional
Will this program be recorded?
We will turn on closed captioning during the live Zoom session (which you are able to turn off in your settings if you find distracting) as well as provide a video recording with closed captioning available and a text transcript of the session.
The program will be recorded for those who pre-register but are unable to attend at the scheduled time or who want to view again. You will be sent a notification when this is ready to view.
You have lifetime access to all online programs.
