Manifiesto del Monje

¿Quieres unirte a mí para comenzar la revolución del monje?

¡Difundamos un compromiso con la contemplación, la compasión y la creatividad a lo largo y ancho del mundo!

Monje: Del griego monachos, que significa solo o solitario, un monje en el mundo no vive apartado, sino inmerso en la vida diaria con una presencia plena y sin reservas, esforzándose siempre por alcanzar mayor integridad y rectitud.

Manifiesto: Del vocablo latino que significa “manifiesto” o “claro”, se refiere a una declaración publica de principios e intenciones.

Manifiesto del Monje: Expresión pública de su compromiso para vivir una vida compasiva, contemplativa y creativa.

1. Me comprometo a dedicar cada día un tiempo para el silencio y la soledad; a abrir un espacio para que otra voz se deje escuchar en mí, y a no dejarme llevar por una cultura de ruido y constante estimulación.

2. Me comprometo con actos radicales de hospitalidad, dándole la bienvenida al desconocido, tanto exterior como interiormente. Reconozco que cuando hago espacio en mi corazón para los aspectos ignorados de mi mismo, estoy cultivando la compasión y la capacidad de aceptar dichos aspectos en los demás también.

3. Me comprometo a cultivar la comunidad, encontrando espíritus afines a lo largo del camino, amigos del alma con quienes pueda compartir mis más profundos anhelos; así como mentores que puedan ofrecerme orientación y sabiduría para el viaje.

4. Me comprometo a cultivar la consciencia de mi vínculo con la creación, así como un saludable ascetismo, practicando el discernimiento en la utilización de la energía y de las cosas, evitando todo aquello que no contribuya con el bienestar de la naturaleza .

5. Me comprometo a estar plenamente presente en el trabajo que realizo, sea remunerado o no; manteniendo gratitud en mi corazón por ser capaz de expresar mis talentos al mundo, de una manera significativa.

6. Me comprometo a tener ritmos de descanso y renovación a través de la práctica habitual del Día de Reposo, y a no dejarme arrastrar por la cultura de estar siempre ocupado, que mide mi valor solo por lo que hago.

7. Me comprometo con una vida de conversión y transformación continuas, reconociendo que estoy siempre en un viaje compuesto tanto de dones como de limitaciones.
