Prayer Cycles
We are delighted to share with you five weeks of 7-day Prayer Cycle (with morning and evening prayers) as a gift to our Abbey of the Arts community to support you in your daily contemplative practice.
The first cycle is on the theme of Earth, Our Original Monastery, the second cycle is on becoming a Monk in the World, our third cycle is on Birthing the Holy, the fourth cycle is on The Soul of a Pilgrim, and our fifth cycle is on The Love of Thousands.
The Love of Thousands
This week’s theme is angels, saints, and ancestors, inspired by Christine's book The Love of Thousands: How Angels, Saints, and Ancestors Walk With Us Toward Holiness.
The Soul of a Pilgrim
This week’s theme is pilgrimage and making a sacred journey, inspired by Christine's book The Soul of a Pilgrim: Eight Practices for the Journey Within.
Birthing the Holy
This week’s theme is Mary and the sacred feminine, inspired by Christine's book Birthing the Holy: Wisdom from Mary to Nurture Creativity and Renewal.
Monk in the World
This week’s theme is becoming a Monk in the World, inspired by Abbey of the Arts’ guiding principles in the Monk Manifesto.
Earth Monastery
This week’s theme is nourishing an earth-cherishing consciousness, inspired by Christine’s book Earth, Our Original Monastery.
While this is a free offeringwe rely on donations to help to cover our many operational costs and permission fees. We hope to be able to create additional weeks to the Prayer Cycle over time and your contributions will help us in being able to make time to do this and support the writers, musicians, and other artists involved.
You are encouraged to share these free resources with others. If you would like to use the prayer cycles in a for-profit program we ask you to please get in touch to financially support the continued development of these resources.
