We invite you to. . .
Monk: from the Greek monachos meaning single or solitary, a monk in the world does not live apart but immersed in the everyday with a single-hearted and undivided presence, always striving for greater wholeness and integrity
Manifesto: from the Latin for clear, means a public declaration of principles and intentions.
Monk Manifesto: A public expression of your commitment to live a compassionate, contemplative, and creative life.

Always we begin again.
I recently made two transforming changes in my life: retiring from teaching, and joining a Christian church. I can see that this Abbey will support me in my efforts to live abundantly, creatively and generously alone and in community. Thank you!
I sign the Monk Manifesto. and commit myself to the journey. I commit myself to each and every intention listed.
Finally coming home!
There is such a need for a virtual/contemplative community today. Thanks for the gift of being part of the Abbey! I will share this with our Merton Contemplative Initiative, here in NY. PAX.
It is a privilege to “be alone together” on the journey.
Thank you for providing so many resources and blessing!
I am moved beyond words…to seek God with other contemplatives!
To go into my cave, my cell, in holy silence with divine guidance.
Thank you for this blessing!
Delighted to reaffirm these goals and to integrate
them into daily practice with joy
Establishing deeper spiritual practice and an outlet for creativity will give me tools to move forward and have abundant living as I deal with major changes in my life.
Love this
Gratefully on the journey with you all.
