I commit myself to walk this path
May the Monk Manifesto set me on a path of daily devotion.
As an oblate candidate in a Benedictine monastery in the Netherlands, I would like to join this online monastery community. In loving humility I sign this manifesto.
I am from the Philipppines, and I am always a struggling follower of the Benedictine Spiritual Path. I live alone and have, since 2017, been informally vowed into monastic life. I embrace theManifesto wholeheartedly today, the Feast of St Benedict. I have renewed my (informal) vows, when I had my solo retreat in a mountain retreat house last week. And so…In solidarity, with love, creativity, excitement, blessings and gratitude dancing, I sign this manifesto!
In solidarity, I am delighted to sign this manifesto.
I am a Benedictine novice who had one leg over the fence wondering whether to do this thing. I struggled with contextualizing Benedict’s Rule with living life simply today. But I can commit to your Monk Manifesto wholeheartedly. Maybe this little shift signing a concrete covenant that I can embrace with God’s help, will slide me more toward putting both feet on the ground.
With love and endless creative curiosity, I sign this manifesto.
