Thanks to everyone who has submitted their poems already for the Poetry Party! 11 participants on the very first day is a great showing. Make sure to scroll down or click here to see the fun. And make sure to check out Annie Thorndike’s wonderful poem, I think our youngest ever participant at the age of 9. Annie is the daughter of Rebecca who participated in our recent Awakening the Creative Spirit program. Remember you have until Friday to share your poems here and then I’ll draw one person’s name to win a small prize.
In light of our celebration of the moon this week, I want to make one more addition to my Abbey Bookshelf list for this week. I am reading Mysteries of the Dark Moon: The Healing Power of the Dark Goddess and am only about 75 pages in but really loving it. A great book to help you reclaim the beauty and gift of darkness in connection with the lunar cycles and the ancient tradition of the dark goddess. I may write more about it once I’ve read through the whole thing.

Glad you could pick up a copy Bette, let me know how you like it. I’ll take a look at the Halifax book, I love the title. :-)
Thanks for the book suggestions. I couldn’t resist “Mysteries of the Dark Moon”. Found it at a used book store today, along with one you might like “The Fruitful Darkness” by Joan Halifax.
