Call for Art Submissions
For the last two issues of Presence: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction I have been serving as the Interim Art Editor. It has been a lot of fun, so I have now accepted the job on a more permanent basis. For each issue of the journal (published quarterly), my task is to find visual artwork that complements the subject of each article as well as a cover image. I am especially encouraged to find a wide variety of media (not just photos) as well as art from the global community (all inhabited continents). So I am using my readership here to put out a call for art submissions. Keep in mind that the majority of images are reproduced in black and white, so whichever images you submit for consideration need to have enough contrast to look good in that format.
If you are interested, please email me at <Christine AT AbbeyoftheArts DOT com> with a link to your website (sending 2 or 3 low-resolution files is an acceptable alternative) along with your name, email address, and location and I will keep them on file for future use. If I select your art, I would contact you for a high resolution version and your bio to be included in the journal, as well as your mailing address to receive a copy of the issue and a $35 stipend.
