Sustaining Our Sensitive Souls in a Broken World

How can sensitive souls bring the fullness of who we are into our vocations and communities without opening ourselves up to irrevocable harm?

Program Description

As much as 30% of us are highly sensitive individuals who move in the world with greater awareness, attunement, and empathy. We see brokenness and injustice with prophetic clarity, and bring particular gifts and qualities that are desperately needed in times of division, anger, and conflict.

But highly sensitive people are also more likely to become overwhelmed and burned out, exhausted from engaging in contexts that disregard or dishonor their deep emotions and ruminations. How can sensitive souls bring the fullness of who we are into our vocations and communities without opening ourselves up to irrevocable harm?

During this mini-retreat, Dorcas Cheng-Tozun will lead us through an exploration of what it means to be a highly sensitive person and the ways in which your strengths and gifts can serve a world in need. We’ll examine the importance of acknowledging our limits and the kinds of regular practices that can sustain and ground us. Finally, we will creatively imagine the ways in which we can each forge our own unique paths of authenticity, joy, and purpose.

We will turn on closed captioning during the live Zoom session (which you are able to turn off in your settings if you find distracting) as well as provide a video recording with closed captioning available and a text transcript of the session within 24 hours. You will be sent a notification when this is ready to view.

You have lifetime access to all online programs.
