Snowbow: Visual Meditation

When we were in Whistler over Christmas we had the delight of seeing two different rainbows, which I realized were actually “snowbows.”  One of them looked like a traditional arc (top and bottom image), the other hung suspended in the air upside-down (middle image).

  1. Snowbow! How cool is that?!!! We occasionally have the pleasure at this time of year of “sundogs” but these photos go a bit farther down the road (across the sky) than our little pups.
Beautiful, Christine, again, thanks for sharing! I’ll be showing these photos to my loved ones. My “boy”, Reid (age 26) says “COOL”–he’ll be on the lookout for them now that he knows they are possible. Maybe not in Michigan, but he fell in love with Seattle when he was out west last year. Oh dear, don’t go stealin’ his heart with your wild western ways!
    Hugs dearest Christine.
