Let this journey begin……….,
Yes, I am committed.
I’ve been involved with the Abbey and living by these principles for several years just not sure I’ve ever actually “signed” the monk manifesto … so as I am working through the material to find my word for 2016, I am re-committing to each one.
Always, I begin again :)
Amen and Alleluia
I should be committed for signing this :) This describes my life, except perhaps the Sabbath – though I am committed to, as Martha Beck says, play until I rest; rest until I play; never do anything else.
Yes…
These words will become part of my daily meditation.
With God’s help, I will.
I commit to a lifetime of ongoing conversion…recognizing I Am always on a journey with both gifts and limitations.
I have health issues which create (for me) new limitations. I also have opportunities for creativity which are available to me despite the physical limitations. My challenge is to achieve a balance these two situations. I am aware that the opportunities are gifts. I am also aware that the limitations need tender acceptance and care. I need to treasure the gifts and welcome the limitations. I will seek help from grace and this community for the journey.
I will.
Amen! Amen! Amen!
