Program Description
Come and enjoy a creative time to connect with your inner holy fool, the one who guides you toward traveling light, living open-hearted and connecting with a playful spirit. This is a creative mini-retreat that will support you to slow down and creatively map a path that opens you to a fresh perspective for your daily path. With simple drawing and journaling prompts, you‘ll enjoy a soulful and playful time that may lead you to embrace mistakes, leap over obstacles and lighten your load. You may even be encouraged to take a chance without having all the answers!
Your storymap will support you to:
• Travel lightly through obstacles of life
• Engage the winding road of life with an open heart of adventure
• Discover your special keys that link you to a spirit of play
• Welcome imperfection, clumsiness and mistakes as part of the process
• Loosen the need to “know” as you close your eyes and take a creative leap
(A story map is a visual map that includes symbols and wisdom for your daily journey.)
No art experience necessary, just a willing heart.
Recommended materials: paper, black permanent marker, pencil, colored medium (such as watercolors or colored pencils).
We will turn on closed captioning during the live Zoom session (which you are able to turn off in your settings if you find distracting) as well as provide a video recording with closed captioning available and a text transcript of the session within 24 hours. You will be sent a notification when this is ready to view.

Your Guide for the Journey
Ally Markotich
Ally Markotich is an artist, poet and Creative Formation Practitioner. Ally is the creator of Soul Kindling LLC, an online creative respite where she guides her clients to express their truest colors and gently encourages their creative growth. Ally is certified as a Red Thread Guide and Intentional Creativity® Educator from Musea under the guidance of artist, Shiloh Sophia. She is certified in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Theological Seminary and is a Holy Fire Reiki Master in the tradition of Mikao Usui. She graduated with a BFA (Graphic Design) from Alfred University (NY, 1999). She lives in the Piedmont of North Carolina, original land of the Lumbee, Tuscarora and Catawba peoples with her husband, two sons and loving yellow lab.
