Soul Care Institute

The Soul Care Institute is a professional development program dedicated to the formation, nourishment, and deep inner work of Soul Care Practitioners through contemplative practice, creative expression and honoring rhythms of nature.

This program has emerged out of our desire to meet a pressing and urgent need to support those in services of compassionate presence. The SCI will give participants a chance to reflect on and engage with their own growing edges.

The Soul Care Institute offers highly experiential live retreats and online programs which cultivate a safe and intimate community of support with professional peers in the context of a sacred Source flowing through each of us and the gifts we offer.

We draw upon a variety of tools including the expressive arts; Jungian depth psychology; life coaching; Interplay; wisdom of desert, Celtic, Benedictine spirituality; and yoga philosophy. Topics include essential self-care, nature, contemplative practice, archetypes, the underworld journey, body wisdom, and creative arts.

Essential Commitments & Goals of the Soul Care Institute

• To help soul care practitioners cultivate a sense of the essential nature of self-care, soul nourishment, and inner and outer spaciousness.

• To provide a safe and intimate space where soul care practitioners can explore growing edges.

• To offer resources to connect with the sacred Source, the spirit which sustains us in this work.

• To explore the ways that our call to the work we do also reveals our deep shadow places.

• To experience nature as the matrix through which soul care emerges and unfolds.

• To cultivate creative expression and a sense of joy, wonder, delight.

• To explore the places where inner freedom has become restricted and work actively to open those up.

• To nurture a dynamic and supportive community.

• To inspire and remind us of why we are called to the work we do (or to help if you are discerning a new path within the field).

• To help savor our gifts and how they are offered to the world.
