Awaken to the Dream of the Earth
April 22, 2009 · by Christine
Let us remember within us
The ancient clay,
Holding the memory of seasons,
The passion of the wind,
The fluency of water,
The warmth of fire,
The quiver-touch of the sun
And shadowed sureness of the moon.
That we may awaken,
To live to the full
The dream of the Earth
Who chose us to emerge
And incarnate its hidden night
In mind, spirit, and light.

Thanks, Christine. What lovely images as my friend and I go into the Black Hills tomorrow to lead our annual woman’s retreat. They are all there (of course) but here they are right in your face!

It reminds me of a poem of Kabir’s: “Inside this clay pot there are canyons and pine mountains, and the maker of canyons and pine mountains! All seven oceans are inside and hundreds of millions of stars! The acid that tests gold is there and the one who judges jewels, and the music from strings no one touches…and the source of all water! If you want to know the truth, friend I will tell you: The God whom I love is inside!” See you at the women’s conference in May.
