this week's winner . . .

I am in the midst of a very stimulating conference, the kind where the conversations over meals with old and new friends is just as enlivening as the keynotes, prayers, and workshops.  I opted to miss the second workshop this afternoon so I could catch up on email, the Poetry Party, and get a bit of rest before my own workshop tonight.  The sky has grown wonderfully dark and unleashed sheets of rain across this city.  I am grateful right now for shelter and my own sense of awe at this wonder beyond my window.

This week's Poetry Party  on the theme of Practicing Resurrection evoked a beautiful cavalcade of poetic reflection.  I am so touched by the vision you each share here.  The winner of my random drawing for a copy of Illuminating Mystery: Creativity as a Spiritual Practice is Richard Wells, a fellow Seattleite.  Richard, please send me your snail mail and I will get that out to you as soon as I return!

Make sure to go read the offerings waiting there, and scroll through the comments as you will find many poems from both bloggers and non-bloggers alike.

Our next Poetry Party will be on Monday, April 27th.  This coming Monday I will be returning to the Sacred Artist Interviews and kicking them off again with Sybil Archibald.  In the meantime, blessings on your weekend, may it be a time of rest and renewal.

ADDED NOTE: Thank you also for embracing my new system of posting with Mr Linky for those of you who have blogs yourselves and leaving all the poems together in the comments.  Not having to copy and paste each poem into the body of the post helped free me to enjoy the poems even more. Please let me know if you had any trouble with this system.
