Seattle Winter Solstice: A Visual Meditation
December 20, 2007 · by Christine

*****
Blessings to you dear readers in these winter days when the trees invite us to contemplate our essence and the faint light traveling low across the sky beckons us to rest. The Winter Solstice is tomorrow, when the earth begins her slow tilt to welcome back the light.
The Abbey is on sabbatical until the New Year. Christine, John, and Tune will be sinking into the gifts of darkness together.
Remember the next Poetry Party will be on Monday, January 7th.
In the meantime, remember you can order your 2008 calendar here, prayer cards and reflective journals here, and sign up for the Abbey Email Newsletter here.

You have been an inspiration to me through out the year and I feel blessed to have come across your site and honored to be a part of such a creative and insightful ring. It is great to have some breathing space and be back blogging … it is truly a nourishing experience for me to share and receive from other sites.
During hectic work periods and long hours, I have often opened the door to your site to breathe (if only for a moment) the peace, beauty and other worldliness that it eminates … thank you for the many gifts you have given throughout the year. May the new year usher in love, peace and dreams come true - Kazi
