Offerings and More Awakening
December 6, 2007 · by Christine

I am so delighted that my new reflective art journal Callings arrived today at my door, a day earlier than I expected (plus the holiday cards I had printed with my images which you can see here also). I have been a busy little elf addressing envelopes to all of my wonderful subscribers and new orders, plus making batches of my winter prayer cards, all to be shipped off from the post office in the morning. If you order today and pay through Paypal I can guarantee it will be off to you tomorrow, or if you order over the weekend I will head back to the post office for you on Monday. In the midst of the rush of the holidays, wouldn’t it be nice to support an artist and receive something that encourages your rest and reflection?
You can order by heading over to my Etsy store, or emailing me with your order at Christine AT AbbeyoftheArts DOT com. You can pay either by check or I can send you a Paypal invoice. I am offering free shipping for orders placed during the holiday season.

In addition to the awakening I reflect on in the previous post (scroll down to see), I am also delighted to announce that we have set the dates for next year’s Awakening the Creative Spirit program already! Betsey and I liked working with St. Andrew’s Retreat House so much, that we decided we better book early before the dates were all taken.
I have been at work carving rubber stamps to create a new logo — which you can see to the right. I have made a half dozen different images, but this one is my favorite.
So for those of you who like to plan early, mark your calendars for November 9-15, 2008 on the Hood Canal. More details to follow soon.

Christine…
Do we get a picture of the soulful Tune on our art journal?

No Tune in the art journal, but if you’re good you might just get a Christmas card with your order.

I can see you and Tune all dressed up in green Irish elf-wear
Is this wonderful, spectacular, i’m-all-over-it excellent logo for your next year’s retreat and/or Abbey of the Arts?
i’ll be placing an order soon!

Bette, the logo is for our Awakening program. Last year we were in a rush to get our ad into Presence so I used a copyright free image, but we decided this year it should be one of our own, so this is it! So I think you’re saying you like it?
Claire, yours is going out today in the mail. I’d be happy to talk about the dark moon sometime, I’ve even been thinking of writing a post about it. Give me a couple of days though.

Thanks for the beautiful art-work. It really captures certain human archetypes does it not?

Thanks Nezzie and welcome to this space.
