I love that image of nature leaving an impression on the soul Bette. Although I do wonder if other things and creatures really are limited in their ability to love., or if we just do not see things very clearly.

inspiring each other. even nature is taking part in this main goal in life. since a shell, a tree, a stone, a leaf, a mountain, a flower, a furry creature cannot actually love as we do, i believe their purpose is to inspire. love and inspiration go hand in hand; and when i hold a bit of nature in my hand it leaves an impression in my soul. and if my art or poetry can do that to someone, than that is my happiness as well. i love your wise oyster shell hugs
